Eclipse Mania!

Do not know if you have heard but I am a huge Twilight fan. I admit it and love it! So with Eclipse coming to theaters next week my friend Sherry and I decided let's watch Twilight and New Moon together before we see Eclipse....... well that then turned into having a movie party. We had a great time with wonderful friends and of course Vampires! (oh and werewolves too) We invited friends to come into a world, of love, blood, sparkly vampires and the ultimate choice TEAM EDWARD or TEAM JACOB! There was an Edward poster at the door, and when you walked in my hubby's office had a sign, Dr. Cullen's Office  hours Breaking Dawn til Twilight! There was so much little detail from Bella's birthday gifts, to red & black M&M's, to Vampire Wine, to framed quotes from the books. It was so much fun and we are already planning another one!

Overhaul begins!

When we bought this place we knew the front yard would need a lot of love as the house sat empty for at least a year. We have been trying to get the inside taking care of and decided that we would wait til we got most of it done before we would start outside. The yard was weed central and the flower beds looked like something out of a horror movie. Our first project was the yard. We have managed to kill all the weeds and are now working on getting the grass green. I truly love owning our own home but my project list has never been longer.  This morning I decided to start what will be a very long project.... the flower beds! I will be posting pictures through out this process. Also I will be getting some pictures of the inside of the house posted as well. It still has a long way to go but thankfully it is ours and we can take our time!!

First payment!

Its really official! We made our first payment on the house and it felt wonderful.

The house is coming along. We have most of the rooms painted and decorated. We have a few small touch ups here and there. We truly love this house. It is so perfect for us! It has been so much fun getting it in order.

School is almost over and then it will be summer! I really hope summer drags a little cause I am not ready for all of them to be in school all day. I enjoy my children and love having them home with me. It will be a fun summer filled with great things and maybe even a short trip to see an old friend!

Happy May!

Busted, strep, closing...not, and so much more

No I have not gone into hiding and I did not take a trip to the moon..... First, my laptop is busted and is at the laptop hospital where it has been since early March! I am using my hubby's computer but can see the fear in his eyes when I use it. He thinks I will crash it cause that is what I do to computers. Luckily this time it was not my fault the laptop busted, it was #2 who dropped it on the wood floor. So finally I can blame someone else for my computer troubles. Now on to topic B, strep throat is not your friend, it will not just go away on its own and you will end up getting the "peanut butter" shot if you wait too long to see the DR. Just ask me I know cause that is what I did. The peanut butter shot is just as it sounds, it feels like peanut butter being shot into your thigh, not fun! Now we are into week 2 with sickness, coughs, fevers, and the crud. 3rd we STILL have not closed on the house..... BOO! There were some minor repairs that needed to be done and the sellers drug their feet just a little so we are hoping to close in the next week. We are ready to finish this process and finally be able to call it our own. The buying process has been a learning experience but I am ready to have everyones hand out of our bucket! Time to put a lid on it and move in.

Life here is never dull and we love it that way.
