You are almost 5 years old. Where has the time gone little one? I think back to the time that you came to be. Finding out we were pregnant and the happiness that we felt. Picking out everything for your room just knowing that you would be a girl! Going to finally find out what was growing in my belly to find out that something was wrong. I was terrified but your dad, so strong, held me and told me that it would be ok. He had this amazing strength. I feared for you everyday and he would keep me up at night talking to you and telling you about everything you two would do when you arrived. You came into this world with your own dramatic entrance too early. I think about walking into that NICU and seeing you. So small and so many wires and tubes. Your dad was so wonderful, "Talk to him and touch him its good for him and will help him get better" he said. He jumped right in and changed your diaper and you pee'd everywhere! You graduated from the NICU to the ped unit and it was Valentines Day. When you got to your room and they let us come in there was a flower on your incubator. I would visit you everyday and my heart would break when I would have to leave. I worried that you would be lonely but the nurses took great care of you and would spoil you. I remember the baby steps that you took to finally get closer to getting out of there. The day you came home was such a happy one! So happy that you would finally come home. When you did I took you around to show you everything in the house. I promised daddy that I would. You grew slowly with minor set backs and next thing we knew you were a year old! Army crawling down the hall and trying to walk and talk. You were such a little ham. Your smile could melt my heart in a second. You are a daddy's boy. Your are the happiest when you are with him. Now you will be 5 and I look back. You are a wonderful, sweet, little boy. I am so lucky to be your mom. I am glad that you came into our lives. Happy Birthday my sweet boy!!! Mommy loves you!!!
