Tree Decoration Time

After we all recovered from our Thanksgiving feast we got out the Christmas Decorations! Normally we let the kids hang the ornaments and then later that evening I will go back to even them out! This year I decided to relax and let the kids have control of the tree. We love opening the box of ornaments and remembering when we got this one or that one. As a Hallmark ornament collector I really enjoy that each ornament has a story! We are still on the look out for the perfect star tree topper. We have never been able to put one on the tree before due to very short ceilings! Merry Christmas Everyone!

It was a great story and I have looked forward to New Moon coming to the big screen for a year now. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I have only seen it 3 times so far and cannot wait to see it again! Also the third movie comes out in June! WOO HOO!

Happy 10th!

GUESS WHO'S 10??

Yes folks my baby is 10!! Can you believe it? He had a great birthday. He got mostly Harry Potter stuff. He has been asking for a wand for a long time. We found him a replica wand that lights up. He also got a snitch, and an owl. He really enjoyed his birthday with a few guys that stayed the night. They played tons of video games, ate pizza, and stayed up really late!

More Disney

So we had 3 days left on our tickets (Thanks Aunt Vic & Uncle Wayne) so we headed back to Disney this past weekend! I will try to put into words what an absolutely amazing time we had but some words just cannot describe it! We headed to the Magic Kingdom Friday. We got to dance in the street with the some characters from the parade, we got to walk through the bottom of the castle, rode Peter Pan, saw an amazing 3-D show, and even checked out the Swiss Family Tree House. But the best part of the day came when we were waiting for the second showing of the parade (yes I had to see it again!) We were approached by a Disney cast member, he asked if we were enjoying our visit and if we were staying for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We told him no but that we were really having a wonderful time. He then asked if he could make some magic happen would we like to stay? WELL OF COURSE WE WOULD! He then handed us 5 free tickets to stay fr the party! How magical is that? I was so excited! See here...

The Magic Kingdom looks so amazing all lit up and decorated.

The next day we spent at Hollywood Studios. Now this is the place to go to see tons of characters! We met so many characters and had a fabulous time! The rides were so much fun. They also have a Block Party parade where the characters again interact with the crowd. The best part of the day was when we met Woody and Buzz. After leaving Logan stopped us and asked if they could come over to play. He promised to ask their mom first. These characters came to life for us all but Logan really was amazed by it. He also got to meet his favorite Little Einstein guy Leo. Logan was so truly happy to hug Leo that he almost knocked him over! We found out about a place in the park that is not advertised very well. You can meet tons of characters in this place. We were so very excited when we got in there and saw so many different characters. After seeing the Incredible's, Mr. Incredible and the Genie got into a chest bump fight and then had a dance off. It was really funny.

The last day we went to Epcot. We had never been there and wanted to check it out. We had a good time. There are a ton of places to see how science works, and learn a lot about space. It is a very educational place to see. The boys really enjoyed the hands on learning!

In all it was a wonderful time. We cannot wait to get back down there. Disney is a great place to be a kid again, let loose and get silly!

School!

It's that time again, the smell of crayons, glue, new shoes, and the groans of little voices in the morning. Now most parents cannot wait to drop their sweet children off at school so they can get a break from the summer break...... well I am not most parents. Now my kids can drive me to the point of insanity at any moment, I still love having them at home. For 9 years someone has been home with me and this is the first year that they are all still in school! It is very strange to come home to an empty, quiet house. The first time I went to the store I felt lost, or maybe I looked lost as I kept looking behind me every few steps. What can I say old habits die hard! So Monday came and it was time to take them all to school. Andrew and Mikey were excited and happy to get back to school. Andrew, like the 9 yr old he is, ran off with a small "Bye Mom". Mikey was happy to have good ole mom walk him to his class. Then it was time to take Logan to his school. He seemed really excited til we pulled up. He was very scared and ended up crying after he got to his class. "Mom please don't leave me here, Don't you love me?" Yeah I felt like Mom of the year. Luckily his teachers are amazing and he warmed up very fast. So now all three are in school. Logan is only half day. The question I get asked daily is "What will you do with all that free time?"........ here is the answer folks.......... GROCERY SHOP BY MYSELF, it's amazing how much money I can save! I can also get my house clean with out interruptions. Maybe even blog on here more.

Disney Mania!

That is right, after many years of dreaming to go, we finally got to go and with some awesome people!! My Aunt and Uncle decided months ago to come for a visit but to make it even better they brought 2 of their grandchildren! We had a fantastic time. We stayed in Orlando, and spent two MAGICAL days at the Magic Kingdom! We had so much fun! Just walking into the park was spectacular! The castle is so beautiful and grand. I think they pump out magic dust or drugs to make the time spent there amazing. The entire time we were there I felt so happy and intoxicated by the surroundings. I recommend it to everyone to go there once in your life. I know that I cannot wait to get back! Thanks Bic and Pops for making Disney so wonderful! We love you guys. William, Rylin, and my 3 boys, I really enjoyed sharing this experience with you and hope that you made many wonderful memories.

Mikey can ride his bike!

Before we left Maine we decided to teach Mikey how to ride without training wheels. We really thought it was going to be a long process but we were wrong. Mike took Mikey on the back bike path and Mikey took off. He just took right to riding and even learned how to start himself off without help!!! It was such a site to see. Now we are working on swimming.

Memorial Day

P-3 Fly over

Many Thanks

The Marines

The Sailors for the Last Time!

The Gazebo

My boys!

Memorial Day is always a day that we reflect on the military members that have gone too soon. Gone but not forgotten because they are the reason we live free. As a proud Navy Wife I want the boys to really understand the meaning of the day. It is not the start of summer or a free day off school. It is a day to reflect and be thankful! For the town of Brunswick this was also a day to thank the entire base. It was the last time that the sailors would be marching down Main St in uniform, singing cadence on Memorial Day. The town came out in force to thank all the sailors for all they do and to say goodbye. As of December you will no longer hear the roar of a P-3 flying over Brunswick, you will no longer see those sailors coming home to greet their families after a 6 month deployment, and you will no longer hear cadence coming down Main St. It was a bittersweet day for many. But for me, as I walked around taking it in, I heard many thank yous for being a Navy wife and for my service as well as my spouse. For me it was a beautiful day!

Easter

We had a fun weekend! Saturday we had a wonderful Ham lunch with great friends, Andrew, Mikey, Mom and Dad dyed some eggs, while Logan slept off a fever. Then we finished the evening with Bedtime Stories, which is a really cute movie. Sunday we were granted a visit from the Easter Bunny. He must have thought it was going to rain cause he hid the eggs in the house. The boys were really surprised and enjoyed searching. To top off our great weekend we went to our favorite BBQ place for dinner. It was a wonderful family weekend. Our weekends are numbered here in Maine so we are trying to enjoy every one! Hope everyone had a Hoppy Easter!

Playhouse Disney Live!

The Disney Crew

Helping Rocket take off!

Handy Manny

My wonderful family

Mikey and Logan got tickets to see Playhouse Disney Live for their birthdays, so the rest of us got tickets and went out for a Family Night! Logan was very excited to see some of his favorite characters live and in person. Mikey was also happy, but did not like the big crowd of people. Andrew did not really want to go but he ended up having a good time, and even sang along! Mike and I just watched the kids faces, that was our excitment. It really warms the heart to see them light up and really enjoy something. In all it was a great night!

New Kids on the Block!!

After 20 years I finally, thanks to my amazing, sweet hubby got to go see New Kids on the Block in concert! I took a good friend of mine, who like me was deprived as a child, and was never taken to see them! (Just kidding parents, we know we were loved) We were like kids again last night, minus the acid washed jeans, side pony with crimped hair. Although there were woman who had crimped hair, 80's painter hats, and the big buttons with Donnie, Joey, Danny, Jonathan, or Jordan on them! We had great seats right next to the stage. My stomach was full of butterflies when they were coming out onto the stage. This was a childhood dream what was finally fulfilled! It was everything and more! They put on the best concert I have ever been to! We were Hangin Tough, with the Right Stuff, taking it Step by Step, singing Please Don't Go Girl! They played alot of their new stuff as well. I was a little worried about hearing Joey and Jordan hit the high notes, but they delivered! It was a night that I will never forget. I have some amazing picture, and a really cool tour shirt! If they ever come back to where we live I will be seeing them again!!

P.S. Dad I tried to get your money back for that one phone bill when I called the 1-900 number to talk to them... Sorry No luck!
