Memorial Day is always a day that we reflect on the military members that have gone too soon. Gone but not forgotten because they are the reason we live free. As a proud Navy Wife I want the boys to really understand the meaning of the day. It is not the start of summer or a free day off school. It is a day to reflect and be thankful! For the town of Brunswick this was also a day to thank the entire base. It was the last time that the sailors would be marching down Main St in uniform, singing cadence on Memorial Day. The town came out in force to thank all the sailors for all they do and to say goodbye. As of December you will no longer hear the roar of a P-3 flying over Brunswick, you will no longer see those sailors coming home to greet their families after a 6 month deployment, and you will no longer hear cadence coming down Main St. It was a bittersweet day for many. But for me, as I walked around taking it in, I heard many thank yous for being a Navy wife and for my service as well as my spouse. For me it was a beautiful day!

Easter
We had a fun weekend! Saturday we had a wonderful Ham lunch with great friends, Andrew, Mikey, Mom and Dad dyed some eggs, while Logan slept off a fever. Then we finished the evening with Bedtime Stories, which is a really cute movie. Sunday we were granted a visit from the Easter Bunny. He must have thought it was going to rain cause he hid the eggs in the house. The boys were really surprised and enjoyed searching. To top off our great weekend we went to our favorite BBQ place for dinner. It was a wonderful family weekend. Our weekends are numbered here in Maine so we are trying to enjoy every one! Hope everyone had a Hoppy Easter!

Playhouse Disney Live!
Mikey and Logan got tickets to see Playhouse Disney Live for their birthdays, so the rest of us got tickets and went out for a Family Night! Logan was very excited to see some of his favorite characters live and in person. Mikey was also happy, but did not like the big crowd of people. Andrew did not really want to go but he ended up having a good time, and even sang along! Mike and I just watched the kids faces, that was our excitment. It really warms the heart to see them light up and really enjoy something. In all it was a great night!

New Kids on the Block!!
After 20 years I finally, thanks to my amazing, sweet hubby got to go see New Kids on the Block in concert! I took a good friend of mine, who like me was deprived as a child, and was never taken to see them! (Just kidding parents, we know we were loved) We were like kids again last night, minus the acid washed jeans, side pony with crimped hair. Although there were woman who had crimped hair, 80's painter hats, and the big buttons with Donnie, Joey, Danny, Jonathan, or Jordan on them! We had great seats right next to the stage. My stomach was full of butterflies when they were coming out onto the stage. This was a childhood dream what was finally fulfilled! It was everything and more! They put on the best concert I have ever been to! We were Hangin Tough, with the Right Stuff, taking it Step by Step, singing Please Don't Go Girl! They played alot of their new stuff as well. I was a little worried about hearing Joey and Jordan hit the high notes, but they delivered! It was a night that I will never forget. I have some amazing picture, and a really cool tour shirt! If they ever come back to where we live I will be seeing them again!!
P.S. Dad I tried to get your money back for that one phone bill when I called the 1-900 number to talk to them... Sorry No luck!
